Polly Booth

Polly is a graduate surveyor and supports other suitably qualified ecologists in Arbtech’s ecology team, such as her mentor, Senior Surveyor, Martin O’Connor.

A former legal secretary, British Waterways Task Leader, and Cheshire Wildlife Trust Conservation Officer, she is currently working toward becoming a Natural England licensed bat surveyor, amongst other European protected species.

An appointed person on licenses for both great crested newt surveys and bat surveys, Polly is able to handle most ecological matters relating to planning applications robustly and efficiently.

Polly is engaged by customers on a daily basis, to undertake e.g. Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and other sorts of ecological assessments e.g. for BREEAM or CfSH throughout the U.K.

On the subject of BREEAM and CfSH, Polly is our resident Code and BREEAM ecology report writer. She is very experienced and quickly distinguishes between the need for a simple, cheap report for a small, simple site–and the more comprehensive approach required to satisfy a BRE Assessor on say, the building of a £300m brand new school.
