The intention of an ecological report or bat survey (often called a Protected Species Survey, Phase 1 Habitat Survey, or Ecological Assessment) is to catalogue receptors at your site of proposed development, specifically referencing species and habitats afforded legal protection by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, to be impacted upon. Your resulting interpretive report will consider further survey work if appropriate, however, such recommendations are uniquely in consequence of nature of your scheme.
