Tree Surveys for Planning.. FAST
You need your tree survey fast. Luckily for you, speed is what we do best. Arbtech are the UKs leading provider of tree surveys and arboricultural impact assessments for planning permission. These documents enable you to meet your local authority’s requirements that your application complies with BS5837:2012. Our directly employed tree surveyors travel to your site either from our offices in Chester, London, Luton and Surrey, or they are based locally to you, at home. This model is highly flexible, allowing us greater geographical coverage with no need to deviate from our trademark fixed-price rates for tree surveys.
Arbtech was founded by managing director and qualified arboriculturist, Robert Oates, Dip, FDSc, MArborA, MBA. Today, our national tree surveys team comprises a small group of highly trained professionals who take pride in keeping bang up to date with developments in biological sciences and arboricultural surveying technology. Helping us to consistently offer you a high quality arboricultural report, quicker and cheaper than our peers.
Your local authority could ask you for a range of different documents related to BS5837 tree surveys. Some of them are described below. Contact us to find out how we can help keep your costs low and get your application determined as quickly as possible.
Tree Survey and Tree Constraints Plan drawing from £349
You’ve been asked to produce a tree survey by your council’s case officer; otherwise your application won’t be validated. What does this mean? Tree surveys to BS5837:2012 ‘Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction’ are essentially a constraints exercise. The data they collect and present in the form of a schedule and plan shows you where you can build without affecting good quality trees. It also provides information about tree quality, informing a sensible retention and removal balance for the site that is likely to be acceptable to the council.
Arboricultural Impact Assessments from just £199
You need an arboricultural impact assessment or your application will be refused. What does this mean? An AIA is an overlay of our constraints plan and your development layout. The net result is the AIA drawing, which is designed to demonstrate that any potentially harmful effects of your development on good quality trees (lesser quality trees are not a concern) have been considered and mitigated for. For example, you can construct hard surfaces very close to TPO trees. You just need to do it in the right way. And that’s where we come in.
Arboricultural Method Statement and Tree Protection Plans from £169
You’ve secured a planning consent but you have a condition for an arboricultural method statement and tree protection plan. What does this mean? An AMS and TPP set out precisely how you will protect good quality trees. This might be simply fencing them off, or it can involve offering site supervision by an arboriculturalist, say, if your excavations are close to TPO trees. Normally your AMS and TPP are issued to your site contractors. Whatever your tree issues, we’ve probably dealt with something very similar a hundred times before, so call for our help.
